I ran across this idea in The Toddler's Busy Book by Trish Kuffner... Tape a picture or pictures to the ceiling above your child's bathtub and have them talk to you about the picture as you wash their hair! I thought this was ingenious. I haven't hung any pictures yet, but the thought is there...
This book has a great picture in it in which all the "piggies" are taking a bath...

What a great idea! I am going to have to look for that book. Our kids put a washcloth over their eyes when I rinse out their hair and of course that doesn't help a whole lot. So the ceiling distraction sounds like something that would be fun to try.
Great Idea! I am looking forward to trying it with my 2 year old. He loves books and pictures. And the leaning back idea is still not a favorite of his when I am trying to wash his hair!
Cool idea! I got a rinsing cup at WalMart that has a rubber panel in the front. You press it against the child's forehead and pour. It helps keep water out of their eyes, but is not foolproof. It would be great to be able to just teach them to look up, and not worry about the water. I'll have to think of something to put up in the shower.
