Is it bad to put the kids in front of the television to watch a movie when mommy is sick? I don't like them watching tv but an occasional movie is okay. It is not like I would do it all day but sometimes mommies get sick and what else is there to do when your husband is working......life's ponderable questions.....any suggestions for some activities for a 2 and a 4 year old to do while I am getting over this flu? Have no energy whatsoever. Just wondering what other moms do during these moments.
You certainly aren't alone with this one. My daughter gets to watch Curious George and Little Einstein when I desperately need a few minutes to do whatever. My other big entertainment that keeps her contained for a while is a bath. Don't know if that works for your two, but it keeps Alexa in a small space with limited mess making possibilities.
ReplyDeleteWe've just been there! All sick that is...
ReplyDeleteI mentioned in another post's comments about how I put toys away for a rainy day. I should have mentioned that they are for a rainy OR sick day. I rely on old, but new to the kids toys when I don't feel well. I pull them out one after another if necessary to keep them occupied so I can "rest".
We also have a couple of computer games that the kids enjoy playing and I'll let them play those if I need some time to recover. I really try to limit the computer time, so that is a really great thing for them to get to do if I'm sick.
Hope you are better!!!
